Crimes reported over the past seven days. Burglary Dwelling Between 12.30pm on Saturday 23 to sometime on Tuesday 26 May in Elm Avenue, Hucknall, a backpack with a laptop inside which had been left on a shelf unit just inside the front door of a house was stolen. The owner had been in his back garden on the Saturday and the front door was left unlocked. Burglary Other At 9.07am on Tuesday 26 May a report that Need2View, High Street, Hucknall had been broken into. An upper window had been smashed and a bin placed below the window which was used to climb up. Theft of motor vehicle At 11.01pm on Sunday 24 May in Lingford Street, Hucknall, a multi coloured CBR 600 motorbike was stolen.. The owner saw about five bikes riding away. Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft Between 1.00pm and 1.30pm on Saturday 23 May in Watnall Road, Hucknall, a mobile phone was stolen when the owner put it down on the counter in Peppers Family Convenience store. At 11.00pm on Friday 22 May in Yorke Street, Hucknall, the caller had offered an iPod for sale on FB Marketplace. A white male, slightly over weight, 5-10”, wearing a white top and dark cap came to collect the iPad. His banking showing a payment had been made and he left with the item. The seller then discovered that the money had not arrived in his account and that he had been blocked from contacting the purchaser. Robbery Around 1.24am on Saturday 23 May in High Street, Hucknall, a male walking between the Half Moon Public House and Ballers was approached by three males who asked to borrow his phone to call an Uber. They then hid the phone and when asked them to return it one of them revealed a knife in his waist band, at which point the victim decided to move away. One was a black male around 16 years old, average build, Afro hair, wearing a black track suit, he had the knife. The other two were white males also around 16 years old. At 9.26am on Saturday 23 May in Winifred Street, Hucknall, a white female, approximately 36 years old, brown hair, wearing a blue and black coat and jeans punched the victim to the head, who became dizzy and was being sick. The female headed off towards the tram stop. The male later discovered that money had been taken from his wallet. Violence against person Around 8.00pm on Friday 22 May in Nabbs Lane, Hucknall, a 14year old male was attacked on the park. His attacker was a tall white male, dressed in black clothing, wearing a balaclava and riding a black pushbike, who was one of a large group of teenagers. Criminal Damage At some time between the first week of May and Tuesday 19 May in Maori Avenue, Hucknall, the handle was broken off a garage door. At some time in the two weeks to Saturday 23 May in Watnall Road, Hucknall, a grey Vauxhall Astra Ecoflex, parked in a free car park near the junction with Torkard Way, had the front drivers side tyre slashed. Around 2.15am on Saturday 23 May in Derbyshire Lane, Hucknall, two males were seen walking down the lane towards the market place. And as they passed they damaged three cars. They were both well built, one wearing a white top with straps on both sides possibly from a rucksack, and shorts the second was wearing a green top and a black baseball cap and was the one doing most of the damage. Between 3.00pm on Sunday 24 and 11.15am on Monday 25 May in High Street, Hucknall, the glass in the front door of ‘Easy Bathe’ was smashed. Between midnight on Sunday 24 and 9.30am on Monday 25 May in Ashgate Road Hucknall, a hole was cut in the side of the ATM machine outside the Tesco Extra store. ASB At 9.02pm on Friday 22 May in Portland Road, Hucknall, a report of, 14 to 17 year old youngsters, underage drinking and throwing up in the street and on the callers front garden. At 7.15pm on Sunday 24 May in Papplewick Lane, Hucknall, a group of six or seven young males were throwing water bombs at passing cars, two of them were on bikes. They disappeared into bushes near to some cottages and the stream. At 8.57pm on Sunday 24 May in Portland Road, Hucknall a report of a group of adults lighting fireworks and throwing them at cars. At 11.36am on Tuesday 26 May in High Street, Hucknall two 12/13 year old white males were riding scooters up and down the High Street for some time, narrowly missing pedestrians and shouting and swearing at old ladies and gentlemen. Described - one in a white t-shirt, black shorts and a black backpack, the second in bright red t-shirt, black joggers.
